Every Word I Can Spell
Digital South Australian Spelling Test (SAST) for school use. Students hear each official dictation item through headphones and type what they hear.
Teachers get downloadable spreadsheet data with one row per student result, including correct and incorrect word lists, raw scores, and approximate spelling ages.
Teacher setup
Choose SAST form, then click start to create a session code, student link, and your teacher access file.
Use Form B for retesting so students do not repeat the same word list.
How this spelling screener works
The app follows official SAST item order for the selected form.
- Students hear: item number, word, context sentence, then word again.
- Students type each response in order.
- The test ends early when a student reaches 5 incorrect spellings.
- Teachers receive raw score and approximate spelling age (plus SEM +/-2 range).
- Spreadsheet export includes an A-E letter grade using configurable cutoffs.
- Teachers can download one spreadsheet with one row per student and clear correct/incorrect word lists.
